Blackpool have resigned experienced goalkeeper Mark Howard from Bolton keeping him at Blackpool for two years. The 31 year old previously had a brief spell at Blackpool in 2011/2012 playing 5 times before leaving for Sheffield United.The shot stopper played 39 times for Bolton in that time achieving promotion for League 1 and keeping 15 clean sheets. The majority of Howards career has been spent in League 1 playing 107 times in this division as well as playing 60 times in the Scottish Premiership and a brief spell in the Championship. His experience will be essential if Blackpool are to build on last seasons solidity.
Bowyer added, “Mark is another fantastic signing for us. He’s a very experienced goalkeeper who has been successful at this level and he also knows the club and the area well.
“Though we had success in the loan market last season, it was important to have a permanent ‘keeper between the sticks moving forward and I’m delighted that Mark’s agreed to join us.”
