Blackpool have signed Joe Dodoo on a season long loan from Glasgow Rangers. The 22 year old, who is predominantly a wing player, spent time away from his parent club last year being loaned out to Charlton where he scored two goals in 8 games. The Ghana born winger is probably Bowyer's answer to the void left by Viv Solomon-Otabor and could play a big role for Pool next year. Rangers are trying to offload players to fund Gerrard's transfer plans and the out of favour Dodoo, who joined from Leicester in 2016, is one of the players that are to be loaned out over the course of next year.
Bowyer said that, “Joe is a fantastic signing for us and I would like to thank Rangers for allowing him to join for the season. He can play in a variety of positions across the front line and adds pace, power and goals to the side. We’re really excited to work with him.”
