Introducing Jordan Thompson

Jordan Thompson has joined Blackpool on an initial two year deal with the option of a further year after leaving Scottish Premier League side Rangers FC. The Northern Irish central midfielder has spent the majority of his career in Scotland, after originally being on the books at Manchester United, spending 3 years at Rangers and, whilst there, being loaned out to Raith Rovers, Airdrieonians and most recently Livingston FC. The 21 year old becomes Bowyer's 6th signing, who has been quick to replace those that have left so far, although Blackpool are still lacking in the defensive area with only 4 recognised defenders currently within their ranks and are extremely lightweight when it comes to goalkeepers.

Bowyer said on Thompson's arrival, “We’re really pleased to bring Jordan to the club. He’s a player with great technical ability and loads of potential, so we’re looking forward to working with him. His appearances for Northern Ireland only highlight the quality he has.”
