Attacking midfielder John O'Sullivan pens a deal with the Seasiders for one year with the option of an extra year. The Irishman has enjoyed spells at the likes of Blackburn, Bury, Rochdale, Accrington Stanley, Southport, Barnsley and most recently Carlisle United over the course of his career. The 24 year old made 42 appearances for Carlisle in an 18 month period despite being left out for much of the first half of last season. He helped Carlisle to a comfortable 10th place finish missing out on the playoffs by eight points.
Bowyer said on arrival that ,“John is a player we know very well and I’m really pleased to bring him to the club. We know the qualities he possesses and what he’s capable of producing, and he arrives here with a point to prove.” Bowyer here is making reference to O'Sullivan's time at Blackburn where Bowyer spent much of his coaching career.
