Blackpool have completed the loan deal for Elias Sørensen, securing the young Newcastle striker until the end of the season. The Danish forward, who has just returned from international duty where he scored 2 goals in two games, is renowned for his goal scoring ability, a factor that has held the Seasiders back and limited them to their current position. After joining Newcastle from HB Koge, the striker has progressed in leaps and bounds. At under 18 level he was acclaimed for 15 goals in 33 games, but the true sign of his progress is displayed when his under 23 form is examined. He has scored 16 time in just 21 matches (he has also scored 4 more in the Checkatrade Trophy). To put that into context, that is a scoring record less than 25% off the entirety of the Blackpool squad this year.
The signing of the 19 year old has been on the cards for some time now and he hopes to replicate Sean Longstaff's success, see his full interview below.
