Midfielder Chris Taylor has signed a one year deal at the Seaside with the option of a further year and will join the club on the 1st of July when his contract terminates at Bolton. The experienced 31 year old has spent time in both the Championship and at League One level over the course of his career appearing 84 times in the Championship alone and over 400 times in all competitions. The majority of his career has been spent at Oldham where he played 292 times, scoring 35 times and providing assist 31 times. He has also had spells at Blackburn, Milwall and most recently Bolton. Taylor adds experience to a largely inexperienced Blackpool squad and could maybe tempt Jay Spearing into signing a new Blackpool contract due to his spell at Bolton, however this is pure speculation.
Bowyer stated, “Chris is another player we know well and he’s a very strong and experienced addition to the squad. He’s played in The Championship and League One and arrives here with a point to prove. We’re happy to be working with him again.”
